Welcome back, students! Welcome freshmen!
As promised, here is the information for the first auditions for Tech Theatre, from director, Roger Held:
The TECH THEATRE COMPANY of the Visual and Performing Arts Department at Michigan Tech announces open auditions for Lee Blessing’s play Independence on Sunday , September 5 th at 7pm, please arrive at 6:45, in the McArdle Theatre, Walker Fine Arts Center second floor. A second round of auditions will be held at 7pm on Monday September 6, please arrive at 6:45. No preparation is required to audition. Performances will be October 14 thru 16 and 21 through 23 in the McArdle Theatre. For additional information, call: 487.2067 .
The cast consists for four women, a mother and her three daughters. Evelyn, the strong minded mother, seeks to control her girls in a way to protect them and in a way to protect herself. Each of the young women seeks and asserts their personal identity and independence. While the play is a serious consideration of generational conflict, it is liberally laced with humor.
